|Yes, but just for JSS/MB because WRD is completed on Viki/I didn’t like it.||90||45.45%|
|Yes, but just for WRD because I’m not a fan of Ch7.||10||5.05%|
|Yes, for both. I’ll wait as long as I need to.||39||19.7%|
|No, because it’s been too long and I’ve lost interest.||59||29.8%|
The results are in, and frankly, I’m surprised. For one, there were more people voting than the one or two I was expecting, and secondly, I was expecting the 1st and 3rd questions to go head-to-head with the last one trailing in…well, last, but it ended up being the 1st and last questions that were neck-in-neck most of the time. It’s like people either really wanted the JSS/MB soft subs or none at all. I can’t seem to wrap my head around that.
The purpose of the poll was mainly to see if people were still interested in the soft subs even after all this time has passed, and given the results, I’m not sure. It’s true the “Yes” votes make up 70% of the total votes, but with 30% of everyone who voted saying “No,” it’s pretty hard to ignore. The 4th question received more votes than both the 2nd and 3rd votes combined, which is just mind-boggling.
However, since I said I’d let the results decide my fate, I’ll continue working on the soft subs for JSS/MB, but I may not release them until it’s completed on Viki. I may change my mind later, but at the moment, that’s how things stand. I’m tempted, though, to leave the subtitles the way they are on Viki because it’s unfair to erase other people’s hard work. Technically, their subtitles aren’t inaccurate; it’s just a matter of personal preference. If I do that, the soft subs may be released faster because I won’t have to edit each line like I did for episode 3.
For those of you waiting for the WRD soft subs, I can’t promise that I’ll release them, but if I ever get around to putting my translations to the timing, I will upload the subtitles on my blog. At an even much later date, of course. For those of you who are impatient, apparently some talented individual has created an easy-to-use program that allows you to download Viki subs: http://vikisubtitle.com/. I have not used it myself, but I’ve heard it’s very simple to use. Do let me know if it works and happy subtitle downloading!
